In 2014, I reached a point of uncertainty in my work where I felt it lacked specificity. As a result, I started using materials gathered during my walks to create an ongoing series titled 'Disparate Renewal.'These materials solidified my practice on exploring material as witness to time. place and impermanence. During these walks, I observed particular gestures and marks that caught my attention, such as scars of circles and lines etched into the pavement. Once I became aware of them, I began noticing these markings everywhere, and I realized that it's often the things at our feet that we tend to overlook.

To explore these gestures and marks further, I started a series of drawings using acrylic paint and black ink. This allowed my work to transition from literal to abstraction, ultimately establishing a specific vernacular that I am known for today. The 101 NwPS series was a pivotal moment in my practice, as it established a clear voice and created my unique artistic style. The artworks have always held a personal and intimate meaning for me, and I have been protective of them for almost a decade.

I have declined opportunities from international design conglomerates to license pieces from this series because I am not interested in open editions that last in perpetuity. However, I am pleased to finally offer a limited edition set of prints that align with my original vision.
